Terry Dean The Marketing Man !

Posted in affiliate marketing by The Boss Man on February 17th, 2009 | No Comments

If you are familiar with internet marketing then you know that it changes frequently. New technical advances, ideas, and methods make it WAY more competitive than the average business. I would say about 1000X more!

Terry makes reference to different services that changed their names a couple of years back and that certainly points to material that at least, needs to be updated. But don’t get me wrong, he still offers some useful information, it just may not be as thorough as it could be.

Any internet marketer should be aware of of Terry Dean and his teachings. There are however, many other aspects of internet marketing that must be addressed to ensure success. If you can follow a simple, proven, step-by-step process put together by extremely successful internet marketers and combine them with some of Terry’s advice, you could quickly build a successful global internet business.

One weakness with Dean’s material is that by the time I read his Net Breakthroughs course it looked a few years old, at least three by my count, which on the internet, something as little as 2 years is equivalent to 10 years in the offline world.

So while his diary concept was great, it may be useless. The evidence I have that it could be a few years old is that it refers to Yahoo Search Marketing as Goto.com. Goto changed their name to Overture Services in 2001, and was bought out by Yahoo which then became Yahoo Search Marketing in 2005, so this is some seriously outdated information.

Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever updated his material!

Seeing as how it is now 2009 and Terry Dean is still promoting “Net Breakthroughs” you can understand when I say that even though some of the stuff that he covers is good it is still outdated and there are more up to date programs available.

Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever update his material!

Paul Birdsall Busted!

Posted in affiliate marketing by Rio Morales on February 15th, 2009 | No Comments

Paul Birdsall is one of those guys that no one seems to have anything nice to say about.

I mean, almost every online guru has been complained about by someone. But Paul Birdsall has had dozens and dozens of complaints to his name, and that is bad news. The good news for all of you is that you can save your money by not dealing with this individual. The world can be a tricky place, and the internet is often a magnet for unethical scam artists who trick people into giving up their hard earned dough.

Here’s what cuddlescanada has to say about Paul Birdsall.

I thought you should all know about a scam that is really good, its so good that these guys are being investigated by the RCMP, BBB and the Government of Canada. I know from experience these guys are such a con. Be careful. I have listed but a few of the websites they use and their names. I am sorry for any one who has already paid these guys, you will be out of pocket, trust me.

OK here we go: The big crook is called Paul Birdsall and his wife Jacky Birdsall.

Here is a list of the websites to watch out for:

payitforward4profits.com cashflow123.com globalcreditexpress.com couponwork.com cashflowsteps.com 3stepsecret.com

These are just a few of his websites there are a few more, the main thing is if you see his name or his associates stay well clear.

BE CAREFUL GUYS DONT GET SCAMMED LIKE ME AND MANY OTHERS.

Brad Another Voice Of Reason, had this to say;

“I tried warning people about this Multiple Streams Of Income Lie! It should be called multiple streams of expenses.

GDI $10, Auto -Responder $19.95, Traffic Oasis $69.95, Traffic Swarm $30, Success University $49.95 and more to come!

If I could afford that why would I be looking for an online opportunity? If you sign up for PIF4P’s and cannot afford all those programs you will be building Paul Birdsall and his wife Jackies’ online empire or those directly above you who could afford it!”

Now I am not calling Paul Birdsall a scam artist. But when you do the math, it doesnt look good for him.

Just use due diligence and draw your own conclusions, which I am sure you will find will be the same as mine. Im sure there is someone out there that likes Paul Birdsall, but I certainly dont recommend giving Paul Birdsall your money.

Mentor Cory Rudl Or Hustler ?

Posted in affiliate marketing by Hot Biz Ghost Writer on February 14th, 2009 | No Comments

Corey has had modest beginnings in 1994, selling his first online book-Car Secrets Exposed. He has an excellent knowledge of affiliate sales, Internet marketing, and automation of websites.

Corey Rudl has many derogatory statements and accusations against him and his products.

Corey initially sells you one of his products.

He then proceeds to coax you into buying another of his product to be able to use his first product to the maximum.

All though it’s standard practice with internet marketers, I still don’t like when I pay my good money for a marketing course, and the author is trying to sell me a whole bunch of stuff inside it. I wouldn’t mind so much if he didn’t make profit from the items he’s trying to sell me, but since it’s very clear that he is profiting,

I did feel let down after finishing the materials I received from Corey Rudle.

It would be like if you bought a dvd movie at full price and there were commercials in it. You bought the movie purely for entertainment or education, and you paid extra to have no commercials, but you got them anyway.

Another thing about Corey Rudle is that after filling out an online application to be screened as a possible student, that is, he would mentor me personally,. A great many questions were asked of me, because he states he is selective and only looking for the best.

I submitted my request for consideration. Within 2 weeks I was called by his recruiting company to see if I qualified to mentor with Cory, as the online application stated would be my privilege.

To be considered for an immediate spot ,there were only 2 left at the time, I had to answer a number of personal financial questions and have $8,000.00 available via credit card immediately.

In my questioning, I learn that I am not really going to be Cory’s personal student, but that I am going to be farmed off to one of his trained staff for mentoring.

Yes, I want to grow my business and yes, I use a mentor currently in my plan for business growth, but my personal mentor is the real deal. I talk to him and not his trainers. So, as you can imagine, I questioned what I had applied for, and how this now appeared to be a bait and switch for the $8,000.00. They also had the audacity to question my business strategy when they didn’t know me from Adam and had no history with me.

I was not happy and told the recruiter that I personally thought what they were doing was unethical and that my customers would call me on the carpet for such antics. Then, I find out that the training I would receive would make me one of Cory’s affiliates. No thanks. I don’t think he has the best of everything on the web and now I question his truth in advertising.

Anyway, the recruiter suggested I talk to someone else, who was more the kind of mentor she thought I might be seeking. She said he came from a different place and was that money was the outcome of his philosophy and not the gist of it.

I later received a canned email from Cory asking me to do a phone call interview/conference with him. I declined by not responding.

I don’t appreciate bait and switch tactics.

I think his marketing course has good information in it, but I suggest you shop around before you purchase. The course is priced at $200.00 and is good for beginners. His consulting is pricey at $1,500.00 an hour and his mentoring requires an $8000.00 down payment. I think you can do better.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2005 Corey Rudl passed away in a tragic car racing accident in California.

Corey Rudl was killed when the car he was racing, a Porsche Carrera GT left the track and slammed into a barrier car crashed and caught fire at the California Speedway.

Mathew Lesko The Joker ?

Posted in affiliate marketing by Hot Biz Ghost Writer on February 13th, 2009 | No Comments

Matthew Lesko; “Free Money to Pay Your Bills”.

By now, you have surely seen his commercials on TV, often late at night and on Fox,.

Using a large number of different websites, but always the same pitch, the green suit covered with question marks and a maniacally shouting, annoying man, squealing “get money from the government to pay your rent for FREE!” He insists there are hundreds of government programs with money, for just about anything you want, you just need his book to tell you how to apply for the grants!

There are countless reports, firsthand, from people who have felt swindled and duped by Matthew Lesko’s ads. Many feel that Matthew Lesko deliberately misleads those who buy his book. There are two big complaints:

1. Matthew Lesko makes it sound as though it is easy to obtain grants and money from the government and 2. He fails to mention the downsides, such as you will probably not be eligible for the vast majority of the programs.

For example, often grants that are referred to in Matthew Lesko’s books are actually public assistance programs for which many people are not eligible.

Matthew Lesko makes it sound as though it is easy to get the grants and that he is telling you about programs that you don’t already know about. Both are untrue: many of the programs are well-known and you won’t qualify.

Matthew Lesko appears to admit this. According to the Washington City Paper:

Matthew Lesko acknowledges that his shtick obscures the enormous difficulties in securing government grants, but he sees no need to apologize for it. A degree of lying you know, white lies seems to be inherent in all languages and all forms of communication, he wrote in the introduction to his book “Free Money to Pay Your Bills”. Its really not lying; its more a matter of not presenting the downside of a situation.

Even if Matthew Lesko is attempting to teach ordinary citizens how to bilk the government for funds from programs that are intended for the truly needy, this is not the worst of it.

The simply fact is the government is NOT going to pay your bills.

Matthew Lesko’s commercials distort and exaggerate the intent and application of common government programs to make it sound like he has secret knowledge of special government programs to hand out money to anyone who asks.

Matthew Lesko’s books are essentially useless collections of information that doesn’t apply to you and you can easily obtain on the internet for free. His books are little more than a self-serving attempt to get into your wallet.

The truth is Matthew Lesko is looking for free money to pay his bills, and he is trying to get it from you.

Reverse Funnel System !

Posted in affiliate marketing by Hot Biz Ghost Writer on January 11th, 2009 | No Comments

The “Reverse Funnel System” is what is known as a “funded proposal ” system. A funded proposal system is where prospects are prequalify and lookie loos are weeded out by a $50.00 business application fee.

If the person applying does not qualify their $50.00 will be refunded. After qualifying the applicant will have 30 days to reviewing the material and if they decide the system is not something they are interested in all they have to do is request a refund and their money will be refunded, no questions asked.

The Reverse Funnel System is also an automated system that, if followed, allows anyone, regardless of their online marketing experience, to make a decent, to a large income, per month by means of a $1,000.00 commision on the sales they make.

In order to make this $1,000.00 per sale commission I have to tell you up front that you will need about $5,000.00 to get started. The first $3,000.00 goes to buying a Global Resorts Network platinum membership which is the product you will be selling.

That’s right the product price is $3,000.00. How did you think you would be making a $1,000.00 commission if the product being sold cost any less.

The rest of the money will go to driving traffic to your web site that is included with the Reverse Funnel System sales package.

On your web site you will have to provide the reviews needed to explain why people should buy the Global Resorts Network platinum membership along with the Reverse Funnel System sales package instead of wasting there money on something else, which in a lot of cases is just a down right scam.

Now once you have your web site up and running what you have to do is set up an advertisement campaign to bring prospective buyers to your web site.

Once the prospective customer decides they are interested in finding out if the RFS is an opportunity they would like to know more and fills out the business application fee and summits it along with the $50.00 fee, I forgot to tell you that you will receive $35.00 of that fee which will help to offset the advertising costs, the automated system really kicks in for you.

Instead of you having to contact the prospective buyer the RFS team handles the final sales conversion leaving you free to write the reviews for your site and placing them in the best possible places to bring people interested in joining the Reverse Funnel System to your site

This is basically what the Reverse Funnel System is and it has been proven to work.

However, seems there is always a “however”, in the last 3+ years the developer of the RFS has not done anything new to his site. No upgrades or revisions just the same site with him sitting in his Speedo overlooking the ocean, and to tell the truth he does not look good in a Speedo, telling you how you to can make money following the RFS.

After 3 years this has really gotten stale. Another item I need to mention is that in the 3 or 4 months I have see the support team that sends out the final sales info and closes the sales seem to have slacked off a little and sales are not quite as high as they were even 6 months ago.

Now I know that there could be a few reasons for this. The largest one being the lack of expendable income for the $3,000.00 buy in and the money needed for a decent ad campaign.

However the support teams, IMO, interest seems to have been slacking off over the last couple of months and this will also affect the sales and commission to you.

Something else you need to know before you invest your money in this system is it will cost you, as I said before, around $5,000.00 to get started and you need spend a fair amount of time writing the reviews for your web site and working on the ad campaign to bring traffic to your site.

If you are interested in a get rich quick system without any effort on your part, where all you have to do is sit around and wait to collect money the Reverse Funnel System will not be for you.

Tough IBO

Posted in affiliate marketing by Jack Pomeroy on January 11th, 2009 | No Comments

Would you be interested in a business that cost $595.00 to join and promises that you can make millions as a IBO, Independent Business Owner?

Most people would jump at the chance to join such a business.

Now how would you feel if this company that cost $595.00 to join and charges you to attend meetings to teach you how to make more money actually shows in their printed business material that the average business owner make around $1,400.00, gross, per year. Heck I can make more that that by picking up beer and soda cans and recycling them for cash.

I don’t know about you but speaking for myself I would be very upset.

Maybe it’s because I was raised to be honest when dealing with people that when I find that I have been lied to I get mad as a wet hen and I expect most of you feel the same way.

In case you are wondering just what the name of this company, that seems to be lying to you to get to join up, it’s Quixtar.

Now that you know the name of the company lets take a look at how it works.

Quixtar was founded in 1999 and is now run by the same company that owns Amway.

In North America you can only join Quixtar through the referral of an already established member known as an IBO, Independent Business Owner.

The way that Quixtar operates is that every IBO has access to selling Quixtar products through the Quixtar website.

As an IBO you are encouraged to purchase as many Quixtar products as you can and at the same time recruit more IBOs.

The way this works is that your referrer gets a percentage or a commission from the products you purchase from Quixtar. Likewise you will get a commission from the purchases of all your IBOs, the people you get to join.

According to Quixtar your commission percentage depends on your IBO level within the company. So, in theory, the more people you recruit the higher your level gets and the more commission you get.

There are several problems with this business model that your Quixtar rep doesnt tell you about.

Quixtar wants you to rely on one-on-one communication and word of mouth advertising. Quixtar even has severe limits on your freedom to advertise your website online, a resource that they will not let you use properly.

In this day of e-mail, drive through any things, and internet ready cell phones, who has the time to listen to you talk, for hours, about vitamins, or whatever youre trying to sell?

You would think they would want you to use every means of advertising you can come up with in order to increase your sales. But for some reason they continue to tie your hands when it comes to trying to sell the products. Its almost as if they dont want you to sell the products.

You also need to realize that your entire income depends on how much stuff the people in your down-line are going to purchase.

You also need to realize that your entire income depends on how much stuff the people in your down-line are going to purchase.

Since Quixtar products are priced right around retail your income from Quixter is not going to support you and your family unless you can convince your down-line people into buying all their goods from Quixtar.

Now you have a situation where you’re not allowed to properly advertise on the internet and a need for people to purchase Quixtar products daily. Quixtar also likes to reassert its credibility by pointing out all the name brand companies that it’s partnered with.

The thing is that large corporations don’t care who is selling for them as long as they are moving product. Lets face it they are the ones making the money not you.

Another thing about Quixtar is the fact that you will be competing against every one of the other IBO that are trying to sell the same things you are for around the same price. Mainly because of the way they control and limit the way you can advertise the products you are trying to sell and the fact that commissions on the items you are selling are so small. I really don’t think you are going to be able to make any real amount of money with Quixtar no matter what their sales pitch tries to tell you.

If you do try the Quixtar all I can do is wish you luck and shake my head as I walk away.

Getting Started In Internet Marketing

Posted in affiliate marketing by Hot Biz Ghost Writer on January 11th, 2009 | 1 Comment

Youve read the testimonials and youve seen the TV or internet ads on how you too can get rich with an online business and have decided that you are going to give it a try.

How do you get started?

Well you can go on line and find someone to set up a website for you to sell a product from and this is going to cost money. Wait its going to cost money? Of course it is.

You really dont think someone is going to host a website for you for free do you? While we are on the subject of money, chances are you dont know how to set up a website or keep it updated and running because if you dont this is also going to cost you money.

Now youre saying to yourself, I havent even gotten started yet and Im already spending money, there has to be a better way to go about this.

Your in luck, there is IMO, a better way.

What if I was able to tell you about a company, online, you can go to where you not only do not have to pay for a website, or upkeep, but will also give you a list of products to sell. On top of this you dont have to collect any money, store the product you are selling or pay for the shipping of the product.

All of this is part of what is called Affiliate Marketing.

What this involves is you selling someone elses product and receiving a commission for the sales you make for them.

Now Im not going to tell you that it isnt going cost you any money because you will have to come up with the money for ads that will drive traffic to the site where you have a link to the products splash page, this is where the customer will learn more about the product and will be able to order it from the person that you are selling it for.

Your link that you provide the customer with to go to the splash page is how the company Im going to tell you about keeps track of how much money to pay you and where to send it if the customer buys the product.

The first thing you have to do is sign up for an account with the company. When you sign up for an account you will need to select a nickname that will be used in the link to the products splash page so the company will know who to credit the payment to if the customer buts the product. It would be a good idea to pick a nickname other than something silly like little doll but one that at least looks serious enough to give a sense of maturity on your behalf.

Now that you have signed up for your account you need to select a product you want to advertise and sell.

One of the best ways to select a product is to go with one that you have at least some knowledge of.

While going over the list of products the company has to offer for you to affiliate yourself with keep in mind any hobbies or other interests you have that you would be able to sell products for.

Now you have a product to sell, a place to sell it from and a company that will collect the money, pay the person whose product you are selling and will send you a commission check, there will be a very small fee deducted for cutting the check.

What more could you ask for?

Well how about if you sell the product in a country that uses a different currency than you use?

Once again this company will convert currencies and adjust the price to reflect the proper exchange rate.

Alright. You havent done too bad. You started out not knowing a thing about making money on the internet to signing up with a company that offers a place to sell a product that you have selected from their list of products to sell.

By following the guides and suggestions the company will give you for placing the ads you need to direct traffic to your link to the products splash page, where the customer can buy the product, which in turn will result in you getting a percentage of the sale, in some cases up to 75% you are well on your way to making money on the internet.

What? Whats the name of this company Ive been telling you about? I guess instead of just letting you search for it yourself I should tell you. Are you ready? Its Clickbank.

Yes Clickbank this program has over 2000 affiliate programs from you to choose from, simply pick one find the marketing niche advertise it, and you should see some sales, clickbank takes care of money transactions and returns if needed, and guess what they even cut you a check and throw it in the mail.

Clickbank is one company I can, honestly, offers a good place to start and highly recommend.

The Secret Bob Proctor ?

Posted in affiliate marketing by Rio Morales on December 30th, 2008 | No Comments

Time to revisit Bob Proctor and see what he’s been up to.

Well look at this Bob Proctor seems to be another one who has jumped on “The Secret” bandwagon.

For those of you who don’t know ” The Secret”, described as a self-help film, uses a documentary format to present “The Law of Attraction”.

This law is the “secret” that, according to the tagline, “has traveled through centuries to reach you.”

Now here’s the kicker, “The Law of Attraction” is based on a book written by Wallace D. Wattles called ” The Science of Getting Rich.”

And are you ready for this the book was written in 1910.

Now the fact that the book was written in 1910 in it’s self not a bad thing.

One of the things that bothers me is that “The Secret” is based on a book that old how come it’s still a secret?

Well Bob Proctor, and quite a list of other “gurus” would have you believe there is a group of people who know about “The Secret” but have worked very hard to keep it away from the masses.

I guess this is so the rich can stay rich and the poor get poorer. Some of the people who have known about “The Secret” include, Hermes Trismegistus, Buddha, Aristotle, W. Clement Stone, Plato, Isaac Newton, Martin Luther King Jr., Carl Jung, Victor Hugo, Henry Ford, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Robert Collier, Winston Churchill, Andrew Carnegie, Joseph Campbell, Alexander Graham Bell, and Ludwig van Beethoven.

In “The Secret” producer Rhonda Byrne in a voiceover discribes these people as past secret teachers.”

Byrne states in the voiceover, “I can’t believe all the people who knew this; they were the greatest people in history.”

See that’s the key “history”. They are all dead. It’s kind of hard to ask them if the claims that are being made that they were “past secret teachers” is true or if the claims are false and their names are just being used for some else to make money.

So if you want to believe some rich and powerful people have a way, through “mind power” to keep getting richer and don’t want you to know about it then by all means give Bob Proctor your hard earned money.

Then you too can become a card carrying, tin foil hat wearing, decoder ring wearing member of the inter-circle who were, IMO, scammed big time.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and please think twice about spending your money on this, IMO, another Bob Proctor scam.

Bob Proctor has done many infomercials on TV that get you so fired up you can’t wait to pull out your credit card and order his courses which are extremely motivational. The main disadvantage with Mr. Proctor’s program is that Bob does not really fully explain things in way that would benefit most of his customers. He only provides ideas not a road map to follow.

To my way of thinking, Bob Proctor is much more of a motivational speaker than an instructor. He is able to get you moving to make more money, but he doesn’t give you the instructions on how to do so. It’s as if he gets all wound up and then leaves you running in circles.

By his not giving you step-by-step guidelines on how to make money I don’t think his program is worth the money you will be spending on it.

SMC, Specialty Merchandise Corporation Revisited

Update on SMC, Specialty Merchandise Corporation.

Well now when I wrote my first review on SMC, Specialty Merchandise Corporation, I found, what I thought to be “bad” about SMC, Specialty Merchandise Corporation, was there was a huge about of people who were trying to do the same thing all of them flooding the market with low return products that because of the huge amount of product no one could sell.

I have since found that the happy little SMC,Specialty Merchandise Corporation, isn’t so happy after all.

I have found on other sites a couple of not so nice stories I would like to share with you.

SMC (Specialty Merchandise Corporation) complaint by Lanore Jan 31, 2008

I have had nothing but problems with SMC corp. I filed a complaint with BBB now they are holding our website hostage and blackmailing us until we do what the company wants. we have tried calling and multiple solutions for this company and they will not give us a response refuse our calls transfer us and no one seems to be able to help get the issue resolved. we received broken products and upon a return were not given the proper information.our business has suffered and we are ready to give up I hope no one works for them have seen several complaints of people with same problems

SMC (Specialty Merchandise Corporation) complaint by Gregory Feb 20, 2008

After seeing the SMC ad on TV I decided that I would look into this and see if it was for me. After receiving the materials and looking them over, I decided that this was not something that I was interested in.

After a total of about 3 hours on the phone trying to get ahold of a real person to get information regarding this return and being unsuccessful, I followed the recorded directions on sending back the materials.

I sent back all of the materials, insured, and with a tracking number to the address they told me to send it to. I did all of this within the 30 days that they allowed.

For the next four months I continued to be billed for my membership and received a letter saying that my tracking number was not valid (which of course put me now beyond the 30 days allowed). I called USPS my slef and confirmed the tracking number and was told the date and the name of the person that received my insured package at SMC in California so my tarcking number was valid and they were playing games.

I took this information to my bank and they reversed all of the charges and I changed my bank account card number to prevent any further automatic withdrawals from this company.

Now they have sent me to collections and I am unable to get a hold of anyone to help resolve this matter, so I too will be going to the state’s Attorney General, BBB and anybody else that will listen.

If anybody has a valid address for SMC will you please email me at celeste98443@yahoo.comThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Wow!! Looks to me as if SMC,Specialty Merchandise Corporation, has turned into one more of the internet scams.

So watch your credit cards if you ever have anything to do with them.
