Affiliate Programs ? Making a Wise Choice

Posted in affiliate marketing by Theo McLanahan on July 30th, 2009 | No Comments

Choosing an affiliate program that is not a good fit for your business will cost you time and money. It is important to choose wisely on the front end. This can be difficult because there are so many to chose from. It can be a tough decision. Here are some thing to consider to assist you in making a wise selection.

Remember Your Consumer Base

When comparing affiliate programs, it is important to remember who your target market is. What type of products do they want to purchase? If your target market is people interested in quick and easy meals, putting ads for cell phones on your site doesn’t make sense.

You Must Believe in the Product

It doesn’t matter the fame or fortune of a product, if it is something you would not use or would not recommend to your friends or to your family you should not promote it. If you are unsure about the product don’t go forward with it. You want to always promote products that you believe in.

Be Knowledgeable about What your Pay is Based On

Most affiliate programs will pay you a commission on the sale of an item; however, some will pay per lead or per click. This information can help you choose between programs. You may think you will earn more with a pay per lead plan, as it may be easier to get someone to click on ad versus buy a product. However, you could earn more by promoting a product that pays per sale. For instance, if you get paid $1 per lead, you will need 100 people to take action to earn $100. If you get paid 10% commission on a 100 product, you only need 10 people to take action in order to earn the same $100.

Is Rate of Commission all that Matters?

When you are trying to choose an affiliate program don’t focus to much on the big numbers. Sometimes 50% commission sounds great. But if the product you are promoting is only $20 you’ve only made ten bucks. It would be much better to get a 20% commission on a $100 product. So it is important to crunch the numbers before deciding.

Make Money Fast On The Internet With Reviews

Posted in affiliate marketing by Ditris Q. Knowlszack on July 2nd, 2009 | No Comments

There are a lot of people who are looking to make money on the Internet but they’re unsure about how to get started. One very effective way is to find a product and write a review on it. In fact, this is all some people do to bring in money month after month.

Before you rush out and start typing away at trying to write reviews people will read, take a few minutes and read the tips below. Although it’s not hard making money this way, you will have to follow a few hard and fast rules if you hope to earn money on the Internet with these reviews.

Now before you can get started, you need to choose a product and you need to become very familiar with it before writing a review. You should buy the product so you can become very familiar with it. Fake reviews are easy to spot and no one believes them.

Start off by making a list of benefits that your reader will obtain by using the product. While you’re at it, make sure you also list the features so the user will know what he or she is getting if they purchase this product.

Listing the benefits to the reader is important because this is what they will usually make their buying decision on. Most do it without thinking about it. But they weigh the benefits with the price. If they feel the benefits are worth the price, then you’ve just made a sale.

You should also make a list of the negative points about the product. Every product will have at least one thing where it could be improved. Negative points add credibility to a product review. Everyone knows that nothing is perfect, that’s why a negative point or two can really make your review believable.

Now start by writing an outline of your review. Outlines help you structure the review so it doesn’t look silly. Just remember the important parts of an outline; a Title, headline, first paragraph and last paragraph.

Once done with the outline of your review, begin writing. Don’t forget, the Title should grab their attention and the headline of your review is where you’ll show them the benefits. These should also be repeated in the first paragraph and again in the conclusion of your review.

Always put your most attention grabbing words in the title. This is where you’ll stop them and make them want to read your review. The body of the review is where all the nuts and bolts of the product go. The last paragraph is where you’ll rehash the benefits and put your affiliate link in.

Wise marketers always use a strong call to action in the conclusion. It’s easily as important as your title and headline. A call to action are words that make the reader want to click on your affiliate link to find out more information about the product or to order. If your call to action doesn’t work, then you’ve lost out on a potential commission.

It may take you several tries, but the more reviews you write, the easier it gets. This is why some Internet Marketers have hundreds of review sites out there. This is how they make money on the Internet sitting at home in their shorts.

Have You Checked On Your Keyword List Lately?

Posted in affiliate marketing by Peters Q Framptowski on April 13th, 2009 | No Comments

Every person who hopes to make money with Internet Marketing knows how important keywords are. If you don’t, you can forget about being successful. Keywords are what Internet searchers type into search engines. It’s these words that our site’s need to be optimized for if we hope to earn extra money online. A site that is not keyword optimized is a site that’s not making money.

A lot of marketers get lazy and do not check up on their keywords. A popular myth is that once a keyword is popular, it will remain popular forever. For this reason alone, you should be checking to make sure your keywords are still relevant and will bring in traffic.

Since most people have a limited amount of time to work on their website’s, it’s important to make the most of every minute you have. This is why successful PPC marketers are constantly checking their keyword list and doing away with words that don’t pay. You should be doing the same with your website or risk spending a lot of time and money on optimizing your website for keywords that are not paying off. Just look at the Hollywood scene for example. Do you think that there are as many searches these days for Burt Reynolds as there are for Brad Pitt? No. But if the Internet had been around in Burt’s hay-day (sorry for dating you Burt), then you would have seen huge searches for Burt instead of Brad.

Keywords come and keywords go. A few short years ago, MySpace didn’t even exist and no one was optimizing sites for things like MySpace layouts. The same is true for keywords like Facebook Apps and so on. Things change and you need to stay up with them if you hope to make money on the Internet. Failure to do this will lead you to making less money and being overtaken by your competition.

While some niche keywords just disappear, other change to reflect the times. You’ll need to be on the watch for this. This is another reason you want to check up on your keywords on a routine basis. It just doesn’t pay to keep non profitable keywords around. You’ll just waste time and money by continually optimizing pages for them.

Now take a few minutes and look over your current list. See which ones are still making you money and which ones are dead weight. There’s no reason to keep working on optimizing your website for old, non producing keywords. While you’re at it, find those fresh keywords everyone else is searching with. This is how you’ll make more money online and find new niches to build websites around.

However, this is not the thing with paid membership sites, here if the surveys do not keep coming in you may end up losing some money rather than earn any. There are many people who have lost their money this way.

Free get paid survey sites are safer since they do not ask you for any money at all, instead their money comes in only from the companies which would like to be surveyed among public. Free get paid surveys however, may not offer you larger sums of money. It is the paid websites that often lure people with offers of $100 per survey, rather than the free web sites.
